I Love Cows Wall Hanging

My sister and I just returned from a mini vacation
in Florida.  It was too cold to spend much time on the beach,
so we did the next best thing.
Thrift shopping!
Look what I came home with.

When I saw this farm life sweater by
Eagle's Eye
I had to have it.
I knew could make something out of it
I just wasn't sure what.

Back view.

I started by cutting out one of the scenes.
I had just bought a square wire wreath frame
and was looking forward to trying it out.

I backed it with a little batting
then glued it all onto some fiber board.

Decided to cover the square wreath frame with
the black and white check sleeves.
I went a head and removed the large red heart
because I new I would be cutting right
down the middle of the sleeve.

I wrapped and glued the strips around
the frame, using both of the sleeves.

Used my glue gun and glued it all together.

Reattached the hearts that I had removed
from the sleeves.  Added two yellow flowers
made from another cotton sweater.

You can find this country life
wall hanging on my etsy site.

fun things I have for you.

FOREVER IRISH

I'm getting ready to list my latest
up-cycled sweater wreath
to my etsy shop
Nanniepannie

Just in time for St. Patrick's Day,
but not just for...
I call it "Forever Irish".

It started as a rescued sweater
from my local Salvation Army store.
An Old Navy brand
made of wool and cotton.
The color first caught my eye,
then I saw the beautiful cable work.
Had to have it!

This is the first time I've tried my hand
at a Celtic Knot.
I think it turned out well, although
I did choose the simplest one.

Please visit my etsy shop here
to see this wreath
and all my other up-cycled sweater wreaths.
