Apparently I was too busy
crafting and blogging to know whats happening
in the real world.
I started last week.
boxes of Christmas balls for 80% off.
and absolutely loved them.
Because burlap is so popular
I thought I'd try my luck with that.
It was way too hard to work with so
I gave it up.
paper that I had on hand.
My vision is... a gardening theme tree for next year.
I'm thinking anything garden related or
nature themed.
Brown paper was applied in little pieces with
Mod Podge, I added some bird motifs
from an outdated calendar.
some fabric pieces as well, but I need to play
with them a little more.
The brown craft paper definitely
worked the best for what I
have in mind.
Very organic.
I will be linking to some fab parties at
You had me at the first pic, but the last pic is adorable! The ornaments are cute too. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDelete1) The picture of the groundhog behind the computer cracked me up!

3) The cat in the paper nearly had me in tears of joy! That is one great shot. I love it..
I love that picture of the groundhog from behind the computer too and the ornaments turned out great. That little cat - adorable.

ReplyDeleteThat first photo brought me here as soon as I spied it on the thumbprints. I was still giggling as I scrolled though your craft project, and then came to the cat in the craft paper. I had to laugh out loud at that one. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteYour spring inspired balls are making me eager for springtime.
Love this! I am working on a little project myself, not Christmas balls but I AM trying to Mod Podge paper to a round wooden ball. I have been struggling with it and think I will try the little torn pieces like you used. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh what a sweet idea- I love it. I love the silver balls too, but your decoupaged ornaments came out so charming- love them. Thanks for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
