A QUICK PROJECT

Our Holiday Show and Sale is quickly approaching and I'm busy
doing last minute things to get ready. My mind is continuously racing.
Do I have time to make one more thing? Yes.

This little box was given to me many years ago by my sister.
I haven't used it for about four years and it's home has been
in the basement, waiting.

A few weeks ago while on an outing, I purchased four little hand made
birds from an antique shop. I didn't have a plan for them,
just knew they were great...and at some point I would
be inspired.

This morning inspiration took root. I remembered this little
ceramic box, and thought the colors might match one
of the little birds.
The first thing I did was add a block of foam to the box and stack
Spanish Moss on top.

After that some sprigs of greenery I had on hand.

I topped it off with the quilted bird.
If you'd like to see the other birds you can read
about them here.

Now, what to do with the lid?????

  1. The lid would make a great topper for a woodblock bookend.

  2. After looking at this post up and running, I must say the photos don't do the little arrangement justice. It really looks better in person. Oh well.

  7. Cute idea! Maybe just set the lid on a stack of books as an accessory/conversation piece?!
