Good Eats With My Gardening Group

This past Saturday my gardening group met and sampled some of our home grown fruits and vegetables during our regular monthly meeting.

The spread was mouth watering, not to mention how good it was for the tummy.

We had quite a variety of good things.
Fresh tomatoes and mozzarella cheese salad, salsa and black bean dip, peach sangria.
Fried okra, sausage and sauerkraut.
Egg plant Parmesan and
home-made bread
For desert we feasted on cherry cobbler and ice cream.

When dinner was over, we took up our hostess's invitation to stroll through
her small vegetable garden.

We wandered around asking questions about this plant and that.

She talked about her watering system and mulch choices.

One of our favorite plants was this huge Kale.

It was a lovely evening all around, what better way to spend a Saturday night than
with friends that share your passion.
Happy gardening everyone.

  1. It was a fun evening and the food was outstanding!

  2. What a cute blog you have here! Love the colors display, and the way you showed both you and your sister's living arrangements. I'll add you to my Welcome Wagon list.
