Today four baby birds are saying hello to the world. We have been watching a nest on our front porch for the past few weeks and this morning we found four little birds hopping around.
They built the nest right behind our porch fairy.
Can you see the little eye peeking out?
I have no idea what kind they are, Sparrows, maybe.
The Mother has been staying close by and bringing food.
Their legs were very wobbly and feathers fluffy.
After hopping and fluttering around for about an hour, they finally flew away to the lilac tree, and then beyond.

How precious!!! I love baby birds, and we have several nests that get occupied again each year, so we're careful not to destroy them!

ReplyDeleteI love your porch angel! That is so neat! I believe the mama bird is a nuthatch. Baby birds are so cute! I had a big black bird that made a nest on my porch in the early Spring. It was something to hear them when they wanted fed.
